CASH PRIZES
Like every year, the Diamond League brings together the best athletes in the world in the different meetings that are held throughout the season. Vibrant races, hard-fought contests and a lot of visibility for our sport that also translates into juicy cash prizes. Although the amount of them has been reduced in recent years, they are still the meetings that pay the best for the highest ranked athletes, with prizes of up to $ 30,000 for the first classified in the final of the circuit.
However, it is clear that the athletes’ earnings in these Diamond League events are far from those that other high-level athletes can achieve, especially if we take into account that it is the best and most prestigious competition circuit. Below we detail the prizes that the athletes win, which are divided between the first and eighth place, which in normal meetings is 500 dollars.
